CANTON – The Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center has a direct line to Santa with its “Ho, Ho, hot line.” It will be in operation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. through Tuesday, Dec. 23. The hot line will also be open from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24. For times when it is not in service there is a special recorded message from Santa. The phone number is 597-3100.
According to Michelle Corriveau, adult day services coordinator, the staff and residents look forward to helping Santa every year by delivering the messages received on the hot line. “We have been operating the ‘Ho, Ho, Hot line’ for eight years now, and it really means a lot to our residents and staff. There is nothing better than being a part of a child’s Christmas,” Corriveau said.
Oxford Networks is the underwriter of the telephone service for the hot line. Beginning in 2000, Oxford Networks signed on to defray the cost of running the hot line as a service to the community. “We thought that this was a unique way to spread Christmas cheer throughout the community and we were happy to help,” said Matt Jancovic, director of marketing and customer service.
The Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center provides services to over one hundred of Western Maine’s elderly and disabled citizens. For more information visit www.victorianvilla.net
