MEXICO – The Mexico Congregational United Church of Christ will observe the fourth Sunday of Advent at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 21. The Sunday school will present a pageant about the birth of the Christ Child. Lay readers will lead the remainder of the service. It will be followed by a birthday party for Jesus in the church dining room.

A Christmas Eve candlelight service will be held at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24. The service will be conducted by guest pastors, the Rev. Ronald Ashworth and the Rev. Linda Kimball; both were ordained at the Mexico Congregational United Church of Christ a number of years ago. The service will include readings, carols, a message, special music and candle lighting. Cindy Bohren and JJ Bohren will present duets for piano and trumpet and the choir will sing. All are welcome.

The church will also have a worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, led by the deacons and Marcia Schroeder, who will also deliver the message.
