VFW Men’s Auxiliary installs
AUBURN – Donald W. Linscott, quartermaster, Auburn Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., installed the newly formed Men’s Auxiliary officers at the Capt. Frank W. Hulett Post 1603. Linscott provided snacks.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars voted acceptance of the men’s auxiliary at the 103rd National Convention in Milwaukee, Wis., with the aim of bringing the whole family into the VFW.
Men’s Auxiliary membership is limited to husbands, widowers, fathers, grandfathers, sons, grandsons, brothers and half-brothers, stepsons and step grandsons who were members or are eligible for membership in the VFW. Persons eligible for membership in the VFW are not eligible for membership in the Men’s Auxiliary.
The men will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at the post home, 588 Minot Ave. New members are invited.
