WATERVILLE – Paul E. Thibault, 56, died Thursday, Dec. 18, at a Waterville Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 25, 1952, the son of Raymond and Pauline (Langlais) Thibault.

He was educated in Winslow schools and graduated from Winslow High School in 1970. He worked for many years in various restaurants as a waiter, cook and manager. More recently, he worked in landscaping.

He loved going to the beach, watching movies, and listening to music, especially Bob Dylan and the Beatles. After spending more than 30 years in Florida, he decided to come home to Maine in April of this year to spend some time with his momhis best friend. They enjoyed a wonderful summer together.

Surviving are his mother, Pauline (Langlais) Thibault of Winslow; three daughters, Danielle Thibault-Vargas of Florida, Jamela Wilson and Gretchen Wilson, of Lewiston; his best little buddy, Brandon Merritt of Florida; five grandchildren; a sister, Jill Fortin and her husband, Mike, of Winslow; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father; and a brother, Raymond R. Thibault.
