Somali art exhibit

LEWISTON – The Trinity Jubilee Center After-School Homework Help Program will host the first community art show, sponsored by the Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and the Mahoosuc Arts Council, from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23.

The show will display the photographic works of five eighth-grade Somali youths. The junior documentary program is part of the “Art and Identity” 4-H series that strives to develop the unique interest and point of view that each child brings to their work by urging them to pursue their own artistic style.

Saturday supper

SUMNER – The Congregational Church of East Sumner, UCC, will have its monthly First Saturday Supper at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3. It will feature crockpot dishes. Donations may be made to benefit the church. For more information, call Cynthia Norton at 388-2667.

Auxiliary party

GREENWOOD – The American Legion Auxiliary will have a 90th birthday party for Vera Cross at the Legion Hall, Gore Road, from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3. Everyone is invited.

Eve service

OXFORD – A Christmas eve candlelight service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, at the Oxford Advent Christian Church on Route 26.

The church choir will perform, along with other singers, musicians and readers. There will also be Christmas carols sung by the congregation. All are welcome to attend.
