NORWAY – Edith Mae Bellegarde, 78, of West Paris, died at Stephens Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 21, with family by her side.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1930, in Woodstock, the daughter of the late Orin and Eunice (Joslin) Sprague Sr. She enjoyed her time at the South Woodstock Church and loved doing activities at the Ledgeview Living Center for the time she spent there.

She is survived by one son, Eugene L. Bellegarde Jr. and his wife, Hanna, of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Marianne Gould and her husband, George, of Woodstock and Doreen Madore and her husband, Jim (Fred), of Dixfield; one brother, George Sprague of Beverly, Mass.; three sisters, Evelyn Pike of Harrison, Daisy Coolidge of East Bethel and Anita Mason of Bethel; five grandchildren, Rachel Wilday and her husband, Randy, of Woodstock, Crystal Bonney and her fiancée, Kevin Lawlor, of West Paris, Deven Madore of Dixfield and Lani and Jolie Bellegarde, both of California; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Wilday and Ellis Coffin.

She was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Orin “Billy” Sprague Jr.; three sisters, Charlene Haines, Doris Walker and Mabel Fournier; and a former husband, Buddy Olsen.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank-you to all physicans, nursing staff, and the staff of Andrews Funeral Home involved in supporting both her and her family throughout this difficult time.
