AUBURN – Frances Marian Coulombe, 64, passed away in Hospice with her family by her side on Dec. 21.

Fran was born in Binghamton, N.Y., on April 6, 1944, the daughter of Milton Burdette and Marian Genevieve Paltz Hibbard. She grew up in upstate New York in the town of Greene.

She spent her summers at her family camp in the Adirondack Mountains on Seventh Lake. She graduated from Greene Central High School in 1962, and from the University of Maine at Orono in 1966.

She married Larry Coulombe on July 2, 1966. She began her career as a public health nurse in western Maine. She taught kindergarten for one year in 1968, and worked as a school nurse in the Oxford Hills and Buckfield until 2005.

She enjoyed ceramics, fishing, slalom water skiing and baking. She was baptized into Christ in 1976. She and her family joined the Oxford Hills Church of Christ in South Paris. She was a good Christian woman with a strong faith in God.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; a son, Ted; a daughter, Grace; and sisters, Edie of Bainbridge, N.Y., and Marcia of Samamish, Wash.
