AUBURN – Marguerite M. Drake, 92, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 21.

She was born in Boston, on May 11, 1916, the daughter of Lester B. and Mary A. (Mahoney) Ray.

She attended Woolwich school and Morse High School, graduating in 1935.

She was a past matron of Pioneer Chapter of Eastern Star, past president American Legion Auxiliary Post 66, a member of the 8-40, Nina Rebekah Lodge and Senior Citizens.

Surviving her are a son, Stanley E. Merry of Woolwich; a daughter, Virginia M. Parlin of Augusta; and four grandchildren.

She was the widow of Elwood N. Drake, who died Jan. 22, 1978.
