The CareerCenter Employment and Training Orientation is held from 10 a.m.-noon, every Monday except Jan. 19. The workshop offers an explanation of training programs and career exploration. It also provides a brief introduction to the Wilton CareerCenter services.

The CareerCenter and Job Search Orientation is held from 9 a.m.-noon every Tuesday. This presentation will give participants an overview of what is available to assist people who are looking for work.

“Preparing Your Resume for Online Application,” 1:30-3 p.m., Monday Jan. 5 and 26. Designed to help participants format their resumes to be attached to an on-line application. Those attending must bring work and educational history.

“CareerCenter Youth Orientation,” 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday, Jan. 8 and 22. Workshop is designed for people aged 16-21 who are looking for a job. Offers guidance about which careers might fit best. Also introduces participants to services at the Wilton CareerCenter.

“Resume Writing,” 1:30-3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 12. The workshop will explore the basics of résumés and applications. Those attending must bring work and educational history.

“MEOC 101 – Essentials of College Planning,” 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15. This workshop offers instructions on filling out financial aid forms to assist in getting the maximum amount in grants or loans. Interested participants must pre-register for this session by calling 1-800-281-3703.

“O*Net Ability Profiler,” 9 a.m.-noon, Friday, Jan. 16. This is a career exploration tool that helps clients plan work lives using a paper and pencil format with optional apparatus parts and computerized scoring.

“Creating Your Professional Portfolio,” 10-11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22. This workshop will outline the process of creating a personal portfolio, which documents acquisition of knowledge, skills and expertise.

“Ace That Interview!,” 1-3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22. Learn how to prepare for a successful job interview.
