LEEDS – A service of thanksgiving for the life of the Rev. Carl H. Geores Jr. was held Dec. 20, at the Leeds Community Church, Leeds. The Reverends, Steve Hastings, George Hardy and Scott Planting officiated at the service. The organist was Jerol Ellis and soloist, Samuel Jackson, sang “It is Well With My Soul.” Hymn selections were “The Church’s One Foundation” and “For all the Saints.” Shared scriptures were Isaiah 65:17-25, Psalms 90, 1 Corinthians 13 and Matthew 25:31-46. Special memories were shared by his children, Timothy and Deborah. Memories were shared by Katherine McNear, from the Leeds Church, Jerry Marsteller, from the Hartford Church and Darryl Johnson, from the Wales Church; also Rick Ness and Ann Marie Simone. A reception was held in the church vestry, hosted by the Leeds Deacons. Services under the care of Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, Monmouth.
