WARWICK, R.I. (AP) – A Warwick woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife on Christmas Eve has made her first court appearance.

Susan LaPlume was arraigned Friday in District Court in Warwick on a charge of domestic felony assault. She did not enter a plea.

The 43-year-old LaPlume is accused of stabbing Angel Gutierrez during a fight Wednesday. Police said Gutierrez’s injuries were minor.

The Providence Journal reports that a felony screening is scheduled for Feb. 5.

It was not immediately clear if LaPlume has a lawyer.
