Well, it’s that magical time of year, when those who are Christians celebrate Christmas.
Yes, it’s Christmas and it will always be. We in this country have lived with all nationalities and religions for hundreds of years without problem until along comes the American Civil Liberties Union. It’s called getting along, and respecting others beliefs.
I don’t find a menorah reprehensible; neither is a manger. We have not asked any other religions to give up beliefs, and I don’t think we Christians should have to give up ours.
If you don’t believe in our Christmas, that is your privilege. This is why we are the best country in the world – you can believe what you choose.
When I was in school we had Christmas pageants. Now 40 kids can’t have one, because the one or two who don’t believe in Christmas cannot participate.
Why is it the minority now the ones that rule?
I think we have more important things to be addressing. I used to say “Happy Holidays” but now it makes me sick to say it. If a store doesn’t want to wish me “Merry Christmas” I will take my business elsewhere, even though they depend on Christmas for big sales.
I call that hypocritical.
To all out there Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
