AUGUSTA – Michel “Mike” N. LeMay, 78, died on Monday, Dec. 22, at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta.

He was born in Lewiston on April 2, 1930, the son of Joseph and Marie Louise (Desrochers) LeMay.

He retired from the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Navy, he had a second career in civil service working for Naval Air Rework Facilities (NARF) in Jacksonville, Fla.

He is survived by three daughters, Maria Hoyt and her husband, Michael, Louise McWaters and her husband, Michael, and Michelle Selph and her husband, Kyle; five grandchildren, all of Florida; a brother, Leo LeMay; sisters, Cecile Gagnon, Alice Daigneault and Candide LeMay.
