WESTBROOK (AP) – Police in Westbrook are investigating what they describe as a suspicious death.

Officers responding to a call early Sunday discovered the body of a man believed to be from Naples. Officers say the man appeared to have died from some sort of trauma, but they aren’t releasing specific details.

Maine state police sent a detective to assist. State police are describing the incident simply as a “death under investigation.”

Steve McCausland of the Maine Public Safety Department says answers will be provided by an autopsy by the state medical examiner’s office.
