Church services

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, Paris, has invited all adults to “Making the Old Story Our Story” at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4. Worship service will be held at 10:15 a.m. followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship. All are also invited to Bible study at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, followed by refreshments.

Student program

WOODSTOCK – Students from the Forestdale School will give their program of chimes at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Whitman Memorial Library. The December program was canceled due to stormy weather. The free program is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

Exercise program

BETHEL – “How to Add Exercise to Your Life as a De-Stressor” will be presented by Jan Salis, PT, ATC, manager, physical rehab department, Stephens Memorial Hospital, Norway, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Bethel Congregational Church.

Snow date will be Jan. 17. The public is invited, and admission is free. For more information, call 824-2053.

Bridge results

NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Dec. 26 at the Fare Share Building, Main Street, when a three-table Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in Flight A and B were Nancy Farmer and Michael Newsom; second, Flight A, Dick Allen and Woody Mercier; third, Les Buzzell and Marjorie Street.

Finishing second in B were Kathy and Pete Cummings; third, Carol Curran and Jim Dickens.

There will be another game at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, and all bridge players are invited.
