Club speaker
AUBURN – Dr. Paul G. Caron will be the speaker when the Art and Literature Club of Auburn and Lewiston meets at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at the WLU Clubhouse, Elm Street.
Caron received his education in Massachusetts and is a musician, performer and composer. He is teaching math, science and education at the Lewiston-Auburn campus of the University of Maine. He will present a program titled “Math, Music and Memories: An Alliterative Journey.”

Art workshop
LEWISTON – The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing will present “Responsive Art: A Workshop for Cancer Patients, Survivors and Caregivers” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14.
The workshop will be led by Kelly Cabral, a wedding and portrait photographer, part-time art teacher and full-time mother. Participants will work with different mediums, including watercolor paints, colored pencils and pastels. No previous art experience is necessary.
The program will be offered in Conference Room I on the Lower Level of the 12 High Street Medical Office Building, adjacent to Central Maine Medical Center.
