TURNER – For the third consecutive year, students from Sherri Pelletier’s vocational skills class at Leavitt Area High School of Turner, working in conjunction with Maine Council on Transition, sponsored a holiday dance as a food drive for residents from Turner, Leeds and Greene.

Students had a budget and created shopping lists, did comparative shopping, sent out invitations and did all the other preparations for the dinner and karaoke dance they sponsored.

Youth mentors and alumni youth mentors from the Region V Council on Transition gathered for baked stuffed chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy, corn and cranberry sauce and pies and desserts brought and shared by guests attending the dance.

DJ was Chad Hood and current and alumni youth mentors sang karaoke and danced.
