CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. – Lynn J. Wills Medlen, 50, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born June 21, 1958, in Rumford, to Shirley Ann Hubbard and Willis M. Wentzell. She grew up in Wells and graduated from Wells High School in 1976. She worked at Sprague for many years before going into the hotel industry.
She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her granddaughter, Regan, whom she loved immensely. She enjoyed traveling, playing games, Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, going for long car rides, the beach, going to the car races and thrilling roller-coaster rides.
She touched the lives of everyone she met. She possessed an easy-going nature and a way of making everyone feel relaxed in her presence. She made her friends and family laugh every day. She lived her life to the fullest. Her outgoing, charismatic and adventurous personality will always be remembered.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Medlen of Lisbon Falls; daughter, Amy and husband, Greg Cacali, of Charlotte, N.C.; granddaughter, Regan; stepchildren, Jeffrey, Rebekah, Megan and Deziray; brother, Willis Wentzell and sister-in-law, Pam; brother, Mark Wentzell and sister-in-law, Lorna; nephews, Mike and Rick Wentzell; niece, Mollie Doucette; and cat of 13 years, Tami.
