LEWISTON – Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice is offering several programs this winter to provide information and support to adults and youth in central and western Maine grieving the death of a loved one.

Program sessions help participants understand the grief process, share feelings and experiences and find hope and comfort. All programs are led by trained bereavement volunteers and/or professional grief facilitators and are offered at no cost to participants.

Lewiston/Auburn

Adults: Pathways through Grief Suicide Survivor’s Group, eight weeks, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 19 to March 9; requires preregistration.

Guidance through Grief, eight weeks, 2 to 3:30 or 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 20 to March 10; requires preregistration; co-sponsored with Central Maine Medical Center.

Children: Program for Grieving Children and Teens ages 3 to 18, 10 weeks, 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 13 to March 17; requires preregistration; co-sponsored by St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Franklin Community Health Network.

Oxford Hills

Adults: Pathways through Grief, eight weeks, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 21 to March 11; requires preregistration.

Lakes Region

Pathways through Grief, open group format, bi-monthly meetings, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays; call for next scheduled date.
