WESTBROOK (AP) – The weekend death of a 25-year-old man found lying on a Westbrook street has been ruled accidental.

Westbrook police found the body of Curtis Johnson lying in the road around 1 a.m. Sunday. Police initially described the death as suspicious.

Officials now say Johnson died of a self-inflicted knife wound to the chest.

Police say he stabbed himself during a domestic dispute, but didn’t intend to kill himself.
