LEWISTON – Helen I. Wilson, 75, of Poland, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Central Maine Medical Center, due to complications of pneumonia.
She was born in Albany, on Dec. 25, 1933, the daughter of Wallace A. and Lucille (Huston) Stone.
She was educated in Auburn schools and was a graduate of American School in Chicago. After her education, she was employed for 13 years at the former Food Town. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for Jones and Vining.
She enjoyed crafting and taking care of her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene E. Wilson, whom she married on March 15, 1952, of Poland; two daughters, Agnes Lucille Brodeur and her husband, Kevin, of Greene and Julie Ann Waite and her husband, Jerry, of Turner; two grandchildren, Robert Alan Merrill II and Kimberly Ann Akers; and seven great-grandchildren, Harlie, Courtnie, Tiffany, Shelby, Sabrina, Paige and Olivia.
She was predeceased by one granddaughter, Julieann Merrill.
