Auburn – Arthur L. Morel, 80, formerly of Montello Manor, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

He was born in Malden, Mass., Dec. 25, 1928, a son of the late Harvey and Claire (Deschense) Morel.

He was educated in local schools and went on to enlist in the U.S. Navy in 1946.

He worked for Local 6 Boston, Mass., as an insulator until his retirement.

He was a member of VFW 639 in Rumford.

Arthur is survived by his son Mark and wife, Nadine, of Monmouth; sister Lucille Butler and her husband, Roy, of Massachussets; and a nephew, Roy Butler of Lovell.
