JAY – A workshop, initiated by the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, will be offered on the theme of “What’s next, after losing your job?”
The no-cost session, called “How To Get Started In A Business,” will be held Jan. 8 at the Jay Town Office, 340 Main St., from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and is co-facilitated by CEI, AVCOG, WWC and DECD.
The workshop will explain the pros and cons of owning a business, with step-by-step guidance about getting started, the major elements of a business plan, and a review of resources available in the Franklin County area. The information can help participants decide whether self-employment is the right choice.
