The Pickett family of Sabattus snowshoe across the summit of Mount Pisgah in Winthrop on Sunday. Chad, bottom left, and Lynn Pickett, bottom right, hike all summer with their two sons, Connor, 6, top left, and 9-year-old Colin, and decided this was the winter to give snowshoes a try. Chad Pickett said the family set a goal to hike all 15 of Maine’s 4,000-foot mountains. They have reached the summit of eight so far, including Maine’s highest, Mount Katahdin. Connor is a first-grader at Sabattus Primary School and his brother, Colin, attends fourth grade at Sabattus Central.
