YORK (AP) – The Maine fire marshal’s office says a fire that heavily damaged an office complex in the town of York was the result of arson. An investigation continues into a separate business complex fire in Yarmouth.
Fire Investigators working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and the Yarmouth, York and Kittery police departments say they’re investigating several burglaries that may be related to the fires.
They say the building in York was burglarized prior to the fire that was set Saturday night.
Investigators are looking whether the Yarmouth location was burglarized, as well. That fire happened Friday night. Maine Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland says that as of now, there’s no connection between the two.
