LEWISTON – A memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Claire Burnham was celebrated by the Rev. Lionel Chouinard Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Chapel. During Mass, Claire’s grandson, Jonathan Burnham, read the Old and New Testament readings. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Jonathan Burnham and his wife, Catherine. A delegation from the Engineering Division of the City of Lewiston were in attendance. After a procession to Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, the Rev. Gilbert Patenaude recited committal prayers for both Claire and her husband, Clyde, who is buried there as well. At the conclusion of services all in attendance were then invited to Longhorn Restaurant in Augusta for a reception of fellowship. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
