MONMOUTH – Monmouth Community Players will present “Wit,” a moving show about life seen through the eyes of a woman staring her own mortality in the face.
Winner of the 1999 Pulitzer Prize, this play written by Margaret Edson is a piece known to make audiences laugh, sometimes cry and certainly appreciate life.
A special welcome is extended to anyone living with, survivors of and those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
The cast includes Colleen Mahan as Vivian Bearing, Ph.D; Raymond Fletcher as Dr. Harvey Kelekian/Mr. Bearing; Vincent Ratsavong as Dr. Jason Posner; Jeanne Fletcher as E.M Ahsford, D. Phil; Buffy Cloutier as Susie Monahan, R.N.; and Karen Lipovsky, Matthew Stone and Rob Coates as lab technicians/students.
Shows are at 8 p.m. Jan. 16, 17, 23 and 24; and at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 and 25. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Maine Cancer Foundation.
