LEWISTON – A variety of traditional and modern arts and crafts courses will be available at Lewiston Adult Education this winter and spring. LAE makes expert instruction in a variety of creative pursuits available locally.
Members of the community are invited to attend new and returning jewelry and beading courses, such as “Bead Stringing Basics,” “Beading with Semi-Precious Stones,” “Beading with Swarovski Crystals” and “Wire Wrapped Glass Jewelry.”
Residents can expand their artistic side with classes in a variety of media. New classes include “Creating with Mixed Media,” “Pottery I and II” and “Stained Glass.”
Favorites such as “Clay Creations for Families,” “Paint in Oil or Pastel,” “Painting with Acrylics” and “Watercolor: Intermediate/Advanced” will be returning for another semester.
Courses in traditional hand crafts, such as sewing, quilting, knitting and rug braiding, will again be available. New quilting classes will include “Quilted Heart Wall Hanging,” “Summer Garden Table Runner” and “Turning Twenty Quilting.”
Returning LAE classics, including “Beginner Strip Quilting,” “Knitting: Intermediate/Advanced,” “Sewing for Beginners and Intermediates” and “Rug Braiding I and II,” will continue to be offered this winter.
