Lodge to install

WALES – Webster Lodge 164, AF and AM, will host its 2009 semi-public installation of officers at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the lodge hall, 322 Centre Road.

All regular Masons, their guests and those with interest in the fraternity are invited.

Legion to meet

LEWISTON – American Legion Post 22 will meet and and hold a New Year’s party at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.

A buffet will be served by Auxiliary members Sally Dumont and Louise Allen, assisted by Post 22 Commander Ray Allen. There will be a 50/50 drawing and drawings for gift certificates.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 5 were: first, Les Buzzell and Paul Sherman; second, Lue Bilodeau and Luke Merry; third/first in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; fourth, Nancy Lindgren and Pete Cummings; second in B, Nancy Farmer and Errol Libby.

The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 6 were: first, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; second, Fred Letourneau and Luke Merry; third, Lue Bilodeau and Alberta Turner; fourth, Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; third in B and second in C, Donna Bartlett and Sue Kaluzynski.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays at the Multi-Purpose Center and 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Schooner Estates in Auburn. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games.

Special STaC (Sectional Tournament at Clubs) games will be played on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 12, 13 and 14. Silver master points will be awarded to all place finishers at the club level.

All players will be competing with other New England winners.
