Turner – Dog licenses expired on Dec. 31, 2008, and town officials are encouraging people who have not already done so to register their dogs.

The state will be waiving late fees during January, but a fee of $25 will be added for all dogs registered after Feb. 1. Further, if a dog has not been licensed by April 1, the owner’s name will be forwarded to the animal control officer for enforcement.

Dog license fees are $6 for altered dogs; $11 for non-altered dogs, and can be purchased at Turner town office. A valid rabies certificate must be presented.
