LEWISTON – Bona V. Kimmerling, 71, formerly of Lewiston and a resident of Clover Manor in Auburn for the past six years, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston, on Feb. 26, 1937, the daughter of Rosario and Evelyn Minnehan Dube. Educated in Lewiston schools, she was employed for many years in the local shoe industry. She enjoyed traveling, especially going for long drives and having picnics with her longtime companion, Denis LaGrange.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary and husband, William Cable, of Omaha, Neb., and Donna Ranaletta of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Georgette and husband, Arthur Fouquette, of Greene; three grandchildren, Heather, Joshua and David Ranaletta; two great-grandchildren, Robert and Alana Morris; and her longtime companion, Denis LaGrange of Turner.
