LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating the theft of two Apple iBook laptops from a classroom cabinet at the Cedar Street Learning Complex.

The laptops were put away in the room used for the SAD 36/Jay school behavioral program before Christmas vacation and a teacher noticed them missing Thursday, Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Friday. They were taken sometime between Dec. 19 and Jan. 5, he said. They are valued at $500 each.

The learning complex houses the superintendent’s and central office staff as well as Head Start and adult education.
