RANGELEY – Angela White scored a game-high 14 points and hauled down nine rebounds to lead Rangeley to a 40-30 victory over Greenville.
Greenville (3-4) opened a 6-5 lead after the first quarter, but Rangeley came back to take a 14-13 advantage at the half. The hosts then took control in the third quarter with a 13-8 run.
Hayley White chipped in with 10 points and five steals, while Allie Hammond added nine points. Miranda Drinkwater led Greenville with 13 points.
Sac. Valley 28, Gould 21
BETHEL – Whitney Stacey drained 12 points to lead Sacopee Valley to a 28-21 victory over Gould in girls’ basketball action Friday.
The Hawks stepped up the pace with a little more intensity in the second half to turn a 16-15 halftime lead by doubling up Gould. Sacopee Valley went 12-6 in the stanza.
Junior point guard Michelle Kravetz led the Huskies (2-4) with nine points, and Seana Siekman hauled down 18 rebounds in the losing effort.
Gray-NG 50, Fryeburg 45
GRAY – Senior guard Rachel Clement collected 12 points as Gray-New Gloucester pressed through three quarters before coasting to a 50-45 victory over Fryeburg in WMC girls’ basektball action Friday.
The Patriots (6-4) improved their 29-20 halftime margin with a 12-6 run in the third quarter. Junior forward Laura Getchell chipped in with 10 points.
Senior center Eden Cianciolo scored 12 points for the Raiders (4-6), while senior forward Olivia Boivin and junior guard Ariel McConkey tallied 10 points each in the losing effort.
St. Dom’s 53, Poland 13
AUBURN – Kelsey Murphy led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points as St. Dom’s cruised to a 53-13 win over Poland.
Allaina Murphy and Morgan Brown also added 12. The Saints (5-4) stifled the Knights (0-9) throughout the game and held a 23-7 advantage by the half.
Alexa Doyer led Poland with eight points.
