HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) – Layoffs have hit New Hampshire’s Foss Manufacturing.

The company is not giving specific figures, but says a significant layoff occurred on Friday, mostly at the company’s main facility in Hampton.

Chief Operating Officer Bill Cummings says they are consolidating shifts to bring operations in line with the economy. He said the cuts involved line workers and management.

Foss designs and makes non-woven fabrics and specialty synthetic fiber.
