BRIDGTON – Gallery 302 will bring a splash of color to winter Saturday, Jan. 24, with a talk and slide show on the Impressionists given by Claire Knox, docent from the Portland Museum of Art.

Knox will show slides from the recent Impressionist show at the museum and share her wealth of knowledge about these ground-breaking artists from the late 18th century. Today, Impressionist art is some of the most beloved in the world; yet in its time, Impressionism was met with disdain and outrage.

The talk and slide show will begin at 2 p.m. at the gallery. Admission is free. For more information, call 647-ARTS.
