The Giving Tree is an annual tradition at Monmouth Academy that Mrs. Hunt, along with help from the Student Council, has continued on for yet another year. To participate in The Giving Tree you choose a tag off of a Christmas tree in her room; you have the age of a little girl or boy to buy and wrap a gift for. The Giving Tree is a fantastic way for students and teachers to give back to our community and have the opportunity to help make the holidays of a child special, giving them something that they probably wouldn’t get otherwise. This year, all 26 tags were removed from the tree. These gifts that the Student Council collected became a part of the Cottrell/Taylor Christmas Baskets. For these baskets, various members of the community work together to help less fortunate people in our town get things for their children.
