LEWISTON – Michelle Rancourt scored the tying goal on a Katie Cobb assist in the third period as Lewiston (10-0-1) and Winslow played to a 3-3 tie in a girls’ hockey game.

Winslow took a 2-0 lead in the first period when Nikki Smiley and Beth Fisher each scored goals on assists by Paige Thomas and Emily Caron.

In the second period, the Blue Devils responded with pair of goals by Katie Cob and Sara Marden on assists by Marisa Zamrock and Katie Bonawitz.

Hebron 2, Kents Hill 0

KENTS HILL – Kailey Bubier and Emma Valli netted timely goals in the first and third periods, respectively, as Hebron huslted to a 2-0 victory over Kents Hill on Wednesday.

Bubier put Hebron (8-5) on the board with an assist from Valli and Brittany Toth. Bubier helped set up Valli’s goal, while Jenna Bosse was also credited with an assist.

Mariah Mosher turned aside 18 shots in net for Hebron to record the shutout. Alyssa Corvi made 24 saves between the pipes for Kents Hill (7-7).

Girls’ basketball

Gould 44, Hebron 23

HEBRON – Michelle Kravetz poured in a game-high 24 points to propel Gould to a 44-23 rout over Hebron in girl’s basketball action Wednesday.

Seana Siekman chipped in for Gould with 11 points, the onlym other player in double figures.

Hebron (1-7) was paced by Emily Powers with a 12-point effort, while Emma Leavitt chipped in with eight.

Boys’ basketball

Elan 58, Gould 46

BETHEL – Jack Peters lit the boards for 30 points Wednesday as Elan hustled to a 58-46 victory over Gould in a Class D boys basketball tilt.

Elvis Rueda chipped in for Elan (10-1) with 17 points in what was basically a two-man attack.

Gould (3-3) was paced by Max Wales with 16 points, while Scott Baribeau added 11.

Boys’ hockey

Poland/Gray-NG 4, Westbrook 2

WESTBROOK – Ben Piper netted a pair of goals Wednesday as Poland/Gray-New Gloucester skated to a 4-2 victory over Westbrook.

Nate Becker and Chris Lessard also tallied for Poland (7-2), while Joey Davey, Pat Collins and Sam Mayer all contributed with assists. Sean Bolideau made 17 save.

Westbrook (6-3) received goals from Josh Caron and Shane Nealey.
