The Norway Open Mic Night will celebrate its seventh anniversary Friday, Jan. 30, at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St. Performers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to share their talents – from music to comedy to storytelling to dance – in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Open Mic Night, held on the last Friday of each month, was founded in January 2002 by Vessel Recordings artist and host Heather Pierson, above. Sign-up for performers begins at 6:30, with the open mic beginning around 7. Participation is not required. Admission is $3; refreshments will be available.
