TURNER – Doug Nash unloaded with 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Leavitt (3-10) locked up Skowhegan (6-7) with a 67-55 victory over the Indians in a boys’ basketball game Friday night.

The Hornets piled up 41 points in the first half, charging out to a 41-29 lead.

Leavitt’s Noah Poto scored 10 points and teammate Cam Griffin had nine and collected six assists.

For the Indians, Jordan Taylor scored 13 points and teammates Billy Clark and Nate Thistle each dropped in 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Telstar 68, Lisbon 38

LISBON – Sophomore forward Dan Vaughn scored 18 points to lead Telstar to a comfortable 68-38 win over Lisbon in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Rebels (3-8) picked up momentum through the first three quarters, widening the margin the most in the third with a 21-10 run.

Joel Putnam tabulated 12 points, while James Kimball chipped in with 10 points for Telstar.

The Greyhounds (0-12) trailed 33-20 at the half, in large part to a dismal 3-of-19 from the charity stripe.

Senior Nick Jones led Lisbon with 14 points on six field goals, including a 3-pointer and a free throw.

St. Dom’s 46, Poland 43

AUBURN – Senior forward Aaron Allen notched a cool 18 points and hit a crucial 3-pointer with 20 seconds remaining as St. Dom’s fended off Poland 46-43 in WMC boys’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Saints (7-5) led by what appeared to be a comfortable 38-28 led after three quarters, but the Knights (2-9) made a charge for it in the final frame. With 20 seconds remaining in regulation, Allen stepped up and sank a 3-pointer.

Senior center D.J. St.Pierre chipped in with 11 points for St. Dom’s.

Junior center Mike Littlefield scored a team-high 10 points for Poland.

Medomak 53, Maranacook 42

READFIELD – Alex Goldrup drained 14 points and Alex MacKenzie and Kevin Fogg netted 10 each to lead a balanced Medomak Valley attack as the Panthers cruised past Maranacook 53-42 in boys’ basketball action Friday.

Pat Norwood led the Black Bears (8-4) with 14 points, including a pair from beyond the arc, but all of those came in the first half as Medomak Valley (8-4) outscored Maranacook 26-10 over the last two quarters.
