I was appalled when I read that U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said, “The Israelis are responding exactly the same way we would.”

What Israel is doing to the Palestinians is slaughter and mass murder of people who have no way to defend themselves.

First, Israel deprives the Palestinians of food, fuel and medical supplies, then attacks them.

Palestine is a concentration camp for the entire population. Even during the truce, Israel would not allow the borders to be opened.

If we were denied basic human needs, we would fight back, just like the Palestinians.

The Palestinians are firing rockets into land that belongs to them. Israel acquired the land in the 1967 war. The U.N. Security Council told Israel to withdraw from land it acquired during the war, but Israel didn’t.

The Geneva Declaration of 1983 rejected Israeli settlements in the occupied territories, abiding by the international boundaries, but Israel didn’t.

Israel and America have become rogue regimes, terrorizing the rest of the world with their military might and invasion of other countries. Israel is the occupier just like America is in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I’m ashamed that the U.S. government approves of Israel’s inhumane treatment and genocide of the Palestinians. Our tax dollars have supplied Israel with the weapons and war used against the Palestinians.

Leaders of America and Israel commit war crimes, crimes against humanity, aggression and more. Convicting these criminals for their actions is the only responsible choice for civilized people.
