Lewiston – Laurier F. Asselin, 73, a lifelong resident of Lewiston, died Friday, Jan. 16, at D’youville Pavilion after a long illness.

Larry was born in Lewiston on April 7, 1935, a son of the late Romeo and Emma (Rioux) Asselin. He was educated in local schools, and worked in local shoe shops for many years until he retired due to his illness.

He is survived by two brothers, Normand of Auburn and Raymond of Lewiston; two daughters, Rachel Moore of Washington and Tina Asselin of California; two sons, John of Washington and Robert of Washington; and nine grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Roger, who died in 1999.
