AUBURN – Roger E. Fournier, 82, formerly of 30 Fourth St. in Auburn, passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, at The Hospice House with his sister Lorraine at his side.
He was born in Lewiston, Dec. 13, 1926, a son of the late Louis and Angelina (Ouellette) Fournier. He was a resident of Bolster Heights RCF, where he reveled staff and residents alike with his wit and humor.
He was an absolute ray of sunshine to everyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed spending time socializing with friends at various grocery stores, including the corner of Bates and Birch streets and also Blake and Birch streets. He was happiest when he could make others laugh and he enjoyed life to the fullest.
He was not only a pleasant individual, he was also a bright rainbow, a shining star, a joy to be with and a great gift to all. He touched the hearts of so many and we were tremendously blessed through him.
He leaves a brother, Maurice R. Fournier and his wife, Barbara, of Auburn; a sister, Lorraine Ligthart of Lewiston; three nieces; two nephews; several cousins; and his “extended family” of staff and his fellow residents at Bolster Heights.
He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Lacroix in 2003.
