PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) – A New Hampshire man accused of killing his ex-fiancee has been returned to Maine to face charges there.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jason Twardus of Rochester, N.H., is charged with murder in the death of 30-year-old Kelly Gorham of Alfred, Maine. Twardus was arrested this month after being indicted by a York County grand jury.

Gorham disappeared in August 2007, two months after she and Twardus had broken up. Her body was found a month later in a shallow grave on property owned by Twardus’ father in Stewartstown, N.H., near the Canadian border.
