Marissa Deschaine, an eighth-grader at Lewiston Middle School, finds a quiet corner at the Lewiston-Auburn Boys and Girls Club gymnasium in Auburn on Tuesday. Deschaine was working on a language-arts assignment on her laptop computer during the club’s after-school program. “This place is a lot of fun; there is much to do and it is a great place to meet new friends,” Deschaine said.
