Whatever else people might think of President George W. Bush, he did keep the country safe from terrorists for the last seven years of his presidency. That alone makes him a good president.

There were no attacks in the United States by terrorists during the rest of his tenure, and his policies have routed the terrorists on their own turf.

I hope the new president will keep the nation as safe as the outgoing one did.
