The letter to the editor Jan. 17 by Deanne Danforth had no foundation in fact. To start with, God gave the land to the Jewish people (read Genesis 13:14, 17; Genesis 28:13-14). The Bible clearly states who owns that land.

The rebirth of Israel happened May 15, 1948.

The Bible prophesy also states that before the return of Christ, Jews must first recapture Jerusalem, which they did in June, 1967.

Under pressure from the Bush administration, Israel Prime Minister Ariel Sharon gave the Gaza to the Palestinians, hoping for peace in the Middle East. More than 900 Jewish families were displaced. A short time later, Sharon went into a coma and never recovered, as far as I know. A short time later Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and more than 900 families were also displaced. I believe these incidents were connected.

You see, God gave the Gaza to the Jews in 536 BC. It was never to be divided.

Once the Palestinians got hold of that land, they voted the Hamas terrorist regime into power and all hell broke loose. They started bombing Israel day and night for the past four or five years. Who knows how many people they killed or injured, and property they destroyed?

God will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. He’s talking about his chosen people, the Jews, so be very careful what is said. God is always in charge.
