BENNINGTON, Vt. – Joyce E. Landry, 78, of Bennington, Vt., died on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Vermont Veterans’ Home after a long illness.

She was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Bellows Falls, Vt. She was raised in Bennington and graduated from Bennington High School in 1948.

She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1953. She has also resided in Maine for many years, in both the Lewiston-Auburn and Waterville areas.

She is survived by her children, Robert Landry of Cadyville, N.Y., Jane Williams of Auburn and Evelyn Landry of Cape Elizabeth; four grandchildren, Matthew and Katherine Williams and Jonathon and Katherine Landry; several nieces and nephews; and one sister, Peggy Gerity of Bennington.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Evelyn Miller; and her two sisters, Shirley Burgess and Jean Weeden.
