WOODSTOCK – Whitman Memorial Library has announced new books.

Several new children’s books have been added to the collection using money raised at the Chinese auction held at the library’s 100th birthday celebration last fall.

There are six books in the “Charlie Bone” series by Jenny Nimmo. Others include “Ink Heart” and “Ink Spell,” Cornella Funke; “I am Invited to a Party” and “Knuffle Bunny,” Mo Willems; “Fancy Nancy’s Favorite Fancy Word,” Jane O’Connor; “Horse Tails,” Pat Gott; “The Tales of Beedle the Bard,” J.K. Rowling.

Also, “Sea Turtles,” “What’s for Lunch,” “Pet Tricks,” “Deep, Deep Ocean,” “Howl, Growl, Mooo, Whoo,” “Flipper Friends,” “Winging It,” “Good Morning Little Python,” “Tap, Tap, Tap,” “Gentle Giants,” “Who’s Listening?,” “Desert Dwellers,” “All About Chimps,” “What Do You Say?” and “Peck Peck.”

Books for adults include “Cowgirl Days,” Pat Gott; “The Christmas Sweater,” Glenn Beck; “Dashing Through the Snow,” Mary Higgins Clark; “The Christmas Shoes,” Donna Vanliere; “The Lucky Ones,” Nicholas Sparks; “Multiple Blessings,” Jon and Kate Gosselin.

Also, “Dewey,” Vicki Myron; “Long Ride Home,” “Shalako,” “The Walking Drum,” “To the Far Blue Mountains,” Louis L’amore; “Rise and Shine,” Anna Quindlen; “So Brave, Young and Handsome,” Leif Enger.
