• Trinity remains Maine’s largest Catholic school with nearly 500 students.

• Trinity Catholic School students and families fill to capacity the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul for their second annual back to school Mass on August 21st, 2008

• Trinity Catholic Boys and Girls soccer teams both win the 2008 Pine Tree League soccer championship.

• Comprehensive staff development for Trinity teachers this year includes cognitive coaching sessions with a nationally known educational consultant.

• Trinity celebrates All Saints Day with ninety-six “Saintly” presentations by all of the 4th and 8th grade students.

• Trinity hosts the NET (National Evangelization Team) from Minnesota who presents “Soul Satisfaction” to our 6th and 7th graders

• Trinity 2nd graders represented the largest single group in the Prince of Peace Parish’s First Reconciliation Service on November 22nd.

• Coffee with the Principal, an informal discussion about the school and hosted by PTO’s Welcoming Committee, debuts for new parents in the fall and all parents in the spring.

• Trinity adds Math mid-terms and final exams for K-8th grade students to its list of internal measures of success. Science and language standards are set for implementation next year.

• Trinity hosts Chancery’s Fr. Bob Vaillancourt who engages youth with lively discussions and music during National Vocations Awareness Week.

• In addition to hosting the Androscoggin County spelling bee, Trinity is the 2009 host of the Maine State Scripps National Spelling Bee.

• Nine Trinity students were selected to perform in the District II Music Festival. Congratulations to our music teachers and to the following students for their selection: In CHORUS, Samantha Perrault, soprano and Emily Dumont, soprano. In BAND, Zachary Abisalih, alto sax. In ORCHESTRA, Ryan Spooner, violin, Michael Wong, violin, Kristen Cornelio, violin, Sarah Allen, violin, Jon Tuttle, violin and Darby Tuttle, violin.
