NORTH TURNER – Donald A. Pulsifer Sr., 62, died early Friday evening at his home on Mill Hill Road in North Turner.

He was born on June 6, 1946, in Lewiston, the son of Harold Pulsifer Sr. and Ada (Brackett) Keene. He was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner.

On Jan. 9, 1965, in Winthrop, he married Elaine Lachapelle. Don and his wife, Elaine, owned and operated D & E Industrial Truck Repair for the past 26 years in North Turner.

Donald was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and treasured the time he spent with his family.

He enjoyed traveling, four wheeling, camping, fishing, going to Hollywood Slots in Bangor and his dog, Harley.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine, of North Turner; his son, Donald A. Pulsifer Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Livermore; three daughters and their husbands, Daphne and Rick Benedix of Lewiston, Darcie and Rich Ciarcia of Livermore, and Darlene and Joey Rollins, also of Livermore; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; his brother, Harold Pulsifer Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of South Carolina; and three sisters, Isabelle Bachelder of Chelsea, Jean Glazier and her husband, Sumner, of Pittston, and Marion Crosson of Georgetown.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Dodie Pulsifer.
